Hi, my name is Melissa! I’m a writer/editor based out of NYC.

Vibrant and polished writing powers the new digital age.  I am ready to supercharge your venture with clickable, fascinating, and creative content. With hands-on experience in publicity, publishing, tech, and nonprofit organizations, I specialize in content marketing, technical writing, press releases, and literary topics—and I can make any subject pop. Check out my wide range of  writing samples and let’s talk about how to give your project the right spark.

I am an energetic person with a can-do attitude, committed to making the world a better place through creative works. I am currently the Events Assistant at Housing Works Bookstore Cafe and a Books Features Writer for Bustle. I graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in English and a minor in Computer Science.

With experience working with writing at every step of the process, I have developed a discerning eye and a keen sense of how to improve craft. I have a flair for using technology to its maximum potential, and I love to explore new methods of storytelling. In my life as well as my work, I am always ready and willing to try something new and to take the extra step.

I like to fill my personal life with imaginative adventures, from quidditch to competitive karaoke to my recent obsession with improv. I am an eager traveler and am constantly growing my list of places to visit. If you want to get a better idea of my personality, I encourage you to take a listen to the playlist below.

Thanks for stopping by! Ciao!
